Trophy Time Again...

Wow! A year flies fast - already it is that time of year when Sketa Oz Philanthropy supplies trophies for the annual eisteddfods.  For almost 16 years, Sketa Oz has been sponsoring talented young Australian dancers in their quest for perfection at the Brisbane Eisteddfods – Solos and the Lockyer District Dancing Festival.  I can’t think of a better way to kept kids focused, motivated and in love with the arts.

Throughout my years of dancing in Australia, the UK and Korea, I always struggled to find sufficient sponsorship – it was always hard trying to make ends meet.  I think the life of a dancer was indeed one of the most challenging, yet rewarding jobs I have ever had the pleasure of securing.  Yes, the days were long, feet were bruised and my body sore – but I can honestly say, I never regretted a single day and I’d do it all again in a heartbeat.

Although time has passed and I have long since hung up my professional, satin-laced ballet slippers, we have continued the Sketa Oz tradition of inspiring, supporting and believing in dancers and their talents; showing them that it’s okay to ask the universe for more. 
 
This year however, I thought it might be nice for you to meet the wonderful, hard-working creatives behind the Sketa Oz Trophies – the happy chappies responsible for making us look good.

For almost 30 years, the Toowoomba Trophy Centre has been supplying trophies to sporting groups, schools and organisations across the Darling Downs. Although Rex & Cheryl Little - the original owners of this business have recently retired and handed the reins over to Rex Zeeman and Adrian Naumann, The Toowoomba Trophy Centre continues to supply us with superb trophies and remain an integral part of Sketa Oz Philanthropy. 

​So often, we forget to give thanks for the splendid people in our lives - the spokes in our life wheels - without whom, things would not run as smoothly, let alone exist, without them.
 
So thanks guys!
