Ah...the humble pen
The mighty come in all forms, shapes and sizes. We imagine only human to take on the coveted title of 'mighty'.

Yet - 'mighty' is a term easily applied to inanimate objects that wield the strength of knights, power of swords and persuasion of a hundred politicians . It is the humble - pen.

For thousands of years man and his best literary friend - the pen, have scribed through time to change the way we think; impart learning to the masses; and allow us the opportunity to savour collections of words strung together to touch our hearts, stir our emotions and inspire our senses.

Man has come to appreciate the limitless value of the pen, which comes in all forms throughout history: finger, brush, feather, nib, pencil and pen. All instruments of writing have borne witness to the changes in human values, of political and religious thought form and have greatly contributed to all - including the pleasurable, past time of creative writing.
Literary perfectionists such as: Edgar Allan might never have touched our hearts and enlightened our minds.

Yes, we owe a lot to the humble 'pen' - without which, diplomacy among nations might never have prevented wars; humanitarian considerations would have fallen by the wayside; and thespians such as Shakespeare, literary perfectionists such as Edgar Allan might never have touched our hearts and enlightened our minds.

Think music - Mozart and Beethoven who scratched away every hour of every day, to touch our souls with notes from the Gods - without whom the music scene might look very different. Think science - had Di Vinci not penned his thoughts and creations on parchment, today's entrepreneurs such as Branson might not exist or be considering pleasure expeditions to outer space. The conduct of human and animal invasive or noninvasive surgery would not have been possible, let alone probable.

Without reserve we can say, the pen scratches of: Alexander Fleming, Albert Einstein, Archimedes, Michael Jackson, Walt Disney, Oprah Winfrey, Beatrix Potter, Kofi Annan and Barack Obama and so many more consistent, masters of penmanship - have wielded the pen for good - for the thoughtful development of mankind, for the resolution and deterrence of destruction of the human race... for the preservation of innocence, creativity and nature.

Yes. we are considerably, indebted to the humble - pen.
