Nature has to be the best teacher of design. Sometimes we take its simplicity for granted, but that's what makes it simply so captivating. Humans never cease to record its magnificence.

Everyday we strive to create, to make, to build that which we want to be awesome, to be remember, to be better than human creations gone before. Everyday humans strive to out do one another, to accomplish more, to be more and create more than mankind gone before.

I ponder our reasoning, our urge to be great - to be more significant and wondrous than comprehensible. Is it because deep down mankind has a built in - inferiority complex?

Does mankind create, make and build to prove we can be better than our creator - whatever that maybe? Does mankind record, photograph and paint nature to emulate its beauty because we are inspired or humbled by that greatness? Do we assist, save and protect nature because we are aware of its greatness and that nothing mankind moulds can ever hold such worth or display such grandure in simplest or complex formation? Do we awe at the wonders of nature, in blind disbelief of is miraculous creations, sense of timing and ability to allow all to co-exist in harmony because it is beyond our understanding?

There is so much to which the human as a species knows so little - our whole existence; our daily strife, toil and pleasure hangs on the balance of perfecting nature's lessons that we handle, hurdle and fail. We are at the mercy of creation and all answers lie with nature and our short pinch of time for existence is far too short to ever comprehend nature's depth of wisdom.

She has been here to guide generations long before us and will continue to mentor those that come long after our flame of existence is extinguished.

But... maybe we are not meant to push so hard to exist. Maybe mankind is meant to 'stop and smell the roses', so his senses are engaged to the fullest so he can learn far more than by picking them. Maybe, nature's pleasures are there to distract us from what our egotistical brains tell us we should be doing - why else would the sky be so blue?
