Going back in time...

There is something special and growth-orientating, to going back in time, when life appeared to be moving forward - flowing towards your purpose and clear days. Although there is a certain amount of nostalgia - one can analyse one’s direction, purpose and life lessons that somehow caused us to go off track. And yet, in the process of turning back the hands of time, it brings us clarity and understanding.

There is not always time to reflect on the journey and direction of one’s life. Though I have always made it a priority, because I believe that unless we understand our past - we do not go forward, and no amount of regret, enables us to grow.

Growth is like a plant that chooses to grow in one area and learns that if it continues to grow where it has placed its roots, it will inevitably die there. It does not decide one day, to just up and gravitate to soils and conditions of better refinement that will offer sustenance and protection, from the weather. But deep in its core, it somehow recognises the cellular deficits and structural malformities that have occurred over time.  And so, the natural process of DNA mutations occur.

Mutations come with pain; they leave behind years, if not decades of just surviving - just living on the breadcrumbs of life. It has endured the pests and toxic waters that have polluted its being; it has given up the sunshine and energy of life to something that casts great shadows over its existence - so that only days of darkness cover the horizons that once saw rainbows, magic and the innocent love - for being part of life.

People do not choose to being in the wrong place, at the wrong time - life just happens around them, taking the pounds of flesh to teach us valuable lessons.  Resilience and inner strength to persist, are two traits that come to mind - as they are those that have plagued my person always.  And just like a plant - my life has always mutated to adapt to invasive conditions that arrived to destroy composure, balance and sense of value - worth and being.

I think this is somehow unfair and harsh to always have to accommodate seemingly stronger entities - so that you can be left to shine your light in the world.  Yet, what appears as stronger and more demanding than you, is not always.  Strength often arrives as a need to control the conditions and demands are a way to make sure you concede to giving up your light and gifts you bring naturally, to the world. That entity seeks the qualities of life ~ the energy that you possess.  But just because shadows appear to take away your energy and the life you have built; it does not mean you cannot start again - regrow stronger and plant your roots where you can thrive again.
...For this is our purpose in life - to thrive - to experience life to its fullest - to see life for all it is and for all it brings to us. So, that we can grow to our full potential.

So, adapt - go forth and grow somewhere else - where the energy can recharge your DNA - where you can shine your light beautifully; where entities do not seek to take everything, you are blessed to share with the world.
