Ex-military man Ross Tucker, fondly known as 'Rossco' to his mates, is busy making life even more productive than he has in almost 70 years of his existence. He hopes to contribute greatly to fallen mates and wants to pay homage to them by selling off new and old artworks, in order to gather funds to purchase his travelling art mobile. With this, he eventually hopes to: travel Australia and meet up with lost comrades, reminisce old times, sing a tune or two and paint to his hearts content - something he has not been able to do - given he has been looking after his 96 years old mother, for almost 35 years.
Before Ross was called on to defend his home country - Australia, Ross' life was filled with painting, music and fine friends. Many of us remember Ross working at the local music store, selling musical instruments or helping inspired health fanatics, at the YMCA. Spare moments would be dedicated to his art and musical creations, while time spent with friends would encompass crooning away the midnight hours, playing classical guitar.
Ross believes it is time for him to get back to doing what he loves most - painting and playing music. It has been a long time coming, but I believe all comes to those who wait. As you can see, Ross is a resilient, fine artist - given he is 90% blind in one eye; whose work has been left on the stage wings - instead of in the limelight, where a standing ovation could well have cemented an illustrious career in the arts.
Help Ross achieve his dreams - buy a painting, hang it on your walls - treasure it for eternity as a gentle reminder our diggers do so much for our country.
